Being Bold…

This month Tiara is excited to be sponsoring an event by Hubbard Street Dance Chicago called Bold Moves for Bold Women. It has me wondering whether or not I’m bold. There are some people who view my life and would say “absolutely” based on what looks bold to them … starting a business, renting a car in Paris, moving to the south side of Chicago (before Obama was president). But those things don’t feel bold to me, because they’re easy for me, part of me following my path.
When I think about it, the women I feel are the most bold are those who risk public judgment for a stand or commitment they are making. I might not always agree with them, yet I admire their ability to be out there, to be bold, to say what no one else will say, to stand for something. My questions for you are:
- What makes someone bold?
- Who do you think is bold?
- What’s a bold move you will make today?
