Integration – not Addition

I woke up the other morning and I was thinking about a very basic difference between most women and men . . . I had a conversation with my husband and I realized that he was really good at doing one thing at a time, getting it done, and then moving on to the next thing.  He focuses all of his attention, completes it to his level of satisfaction, and then he gets to declare it complete. How remarkably simple.  And, I also thought . . . “what a luxury!”  I wonder what I would be like if I only focused on 1 thing at a time – instead of being a typical woman and juggling a gazillion priorities.

And that sentence right there is what I think makes Tiara so important and valuable to women . . . We get that, as women, we are all up to really great things and we are producing fantastic results in our lives – each and every day.  We do that because – well – we are women!  I am not disparaging men.  But I think the secret for women to have a joyful life is finding new and creative ways to integrate all the many aspects of our lives.  Because let’s face it . . .  we aren’t set up (or maybe even wired) to do just one thing at a time.  Our lives are indeed a perpetual juggling act.

I am participating in one of the Tiara programs in Chicago.  One of my personal intentions for 2010 is to look and feel great – the healthiest I have ever been (perhaps a milestone birthday may be the inspiration for this one!).  I’m happy to say that I am now working out 5+ days a week, have dropped a bunch of weight, had a hilarious shopping spree with one of my sisters, and feel about 10 years younger.  That is what I personally have gotten out of the Tiara program . . .  and it didn’t occur because I set a weight loss goal and added diet and exercising to my plate.  It has come about because I have found a way to integrate important intentions in my life, in a way that works uniquely for me.  That’s the secret I referred to above . . .  integrating things in our lives – not adding more to our plates.  It might sound subtle but from an energetic perspective it is night and day.  Integration provides momentum where energy grows.

Where can you integrate what you want in your life and help create the momentum for yourself?
