I am a huge believer in intuition. I try not to focus on past regrets, but when I think back to the times where I still have some niggling disappointments, there is a huge correlation to me ignoring my intuition.

Most recently, my nephew was in Haiti at the Hotel Montana when the earthquake it. I was talking to my sister moments after the earthquake hit the news. She was starting to panic. I calmed both of us down by doing a simple thing -- I asked her to take a deep breath and to place her hand over her heart. I did the same. I reminded her that we are both very intuitive and that if something terrible had happened to PJ, we would have felt it. So over the phone we sat- me in my office and her in her car - with a hand on our heart, breathing and sensing what we knew to be true. And in that moment, we both knew that he was OK and that while this was going to be an awful experience for so many - PJ was safe.

And he was safe, although 4 of his friends were killed in the collapsed hotel.

Choosing to listen to my intuition was the single most important thing I could do - and my sister chose it too. For me, slowing down to tap in is always the right move.
