What’s life got to do with it?

My answer to that is — How about everything!
You dream about things.
You make a plan.
You put your heart and soul into it.
You make progress.
And then . . . . . something throws you off course. It might be due to you or it might be completely out of your control.
How do YOU handle that? Do you get frustrated, angry and sad? Are you even aware of the emotions you are experiencing? Do you blame others or do you look objectively and see what, if anything, you are responsible for?
But what if it is something really, really important. What if this is something you have wanted your whole life? What if the outcome you are experiencing is devastating? Does your response change?
The reason I am posing these questions is that quite simply, life gets in the way. We, as human beings continually strive for making our lives better, different, more meaningful. And along the way, life happens. And, we can either adjust along with life (some would call that being flexible), or we can give up (some would call that quitting), or we can take an objective look at our situation and re-choose our dream (some would call that being committed).
In Tiara, we firmly believe that no matter what is happening in your life right now, acceptance is the key to your ultimate success. Life happens, and yes, a lot of it is out of your control. But who you are about it and how you respond to it are within your control. Our best advice is to re-choose your dream and stay committed to what you truly desire. In the end . . . I think that is what will make me happiest, i.e., knowing that I stayed true to myself and my dreams – no matter what!
